Louise Scott Faulkner, 79, longtime resident of Goshen Road in the Santa Fe Community, died Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with David Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Fly Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Born September 9, 1938 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late William Louis Scott and the late Martha LouiseFly Scott. On December 23, 1955, she married James Reed “Jimmy” Faulkner, who preceded her in death August 10, 2012. For several years, Mrs. Faulkner was employed at Publix Shirt Factory in a supervisory role; and she had more recently worked in Quality Control for Educational Insights. She was a very talented seamstress, enjoying quilting, and being outside gardening flowers and vegetables. She loved her teacup poodle Pebbles. In her early life, Mrs. Faulkner grew up in Fly Nazarene Church and later attended Philippi Church of Christ for several years. Her life of strength, love, and untiring determination will continue to influence the lives she has touched.
Survivors include her children, Reatha (James) Irwin of Santa Fe, James (Evelyn) Faulkner of Santa Fe, Cheryl (Dean) Johnson of Columbia, Debra (David) Hill of Santa Fe, Jerry (Cindy) Faulkner of Santa Fe, Alan (Pam) Faulkner of Columbia; siblings, Janie (John) Dressel of Houston, Texas, Calvin (Addie Bea) Scott of Santa Fe, Wayne (Linda) Scott of Columbia, Jean Clark of Santa Fe, Annette (Ronnie) South of Columbia, David (Carol) Scott of Santa Fe, Reddick (Debbie) Scott of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Anthony (Miranda) Gordon, Chris (Stacy) Gordon, Katie Faulkner, Ashley Faulkner, Brian Johnson, Sarah Johnson (Kyle) Brochu, Brad (Jessie) Hill, Brent (Sarah) Hill, Scotty (Aftan) Faulkner, Justin (Brandi) Faulkner, Allie Faulkner (Eric) Roberts, Kallie Faulkner; great grandchildren, Kate Gordon, Wesley Gordon, Carter Gordon, Cason Hill, Pippa Hill, Thatcher Hill, Winnie Hill (due May 26), Beckham Faulkner, Emerson Faulkner, Cambelle James Faulkner, McKinley Faulkner, Madalyn Faulkner; sisters-in-law, Allene Scott, Martha Scott, Ruby Stanfill, Lennie (Pete) Boatright; brother-in-law, Jr. (Judy) Faulkner; and very dear friend, Sue Yant.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Ruby Rebecca Scott; brothers, William Scott and Kenneth Scott; and brother-in-law, Thomas Faulkner.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will include her granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
