Louise Pierce, 88, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born April 18, 1935, in Honey Creek Township, Iowa, to George Wilbur and Ruth Irene Kimbrough Fields. She was in nursing in the United States Navy, where she met her husband. They lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, until his retirement in 1986, when they moved back Tupelo. She and her husband were in the Jehovah’s Witness ministry for over 60 years. She enjoyed camping and canoeing with her husband.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date and will be posted to this site. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Lecil Dee Pierce of Tupelo; one son, Lecil Dee Pierce II of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one daughter, Lynette Rea Pierce of Tupelo; three sisters, her twin, Lois Frisk, Carol Rawson, and Penny Zeller; one brother, Michael Fields.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Bonnie Miller, Shirley Lauterbach, Evelyn Weaver, Cheryle Hootman, and Pauline Hanson; two brothers, Douglas Fields and George “Butch” Fields, Jr.; and her parents.
