Louise Lane Moland, 79, Russellville, Ala., passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at her residence.

She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and member of Tharptown Baptist Church. She was retired from the Franklin County School system where she worked as a cook for 16 years.

The funeral service will be Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, 2 p.m., at Tharptown Baptist Church with Bobby Amos and Josh Miller officiating. Burial will be in Tharptown Cemetery. The visitation will be prior to service from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church.

Survivors include daughters, Patricia (Herschel) Davis, Tuscumbia, Jackie (Harold) Butler, Haleyville, Marlene (Roger) Allen, Russellville, Darlene (Jimmy) Taylor, Russellville, and Christy (Jeff) Dill, Tharptown; like a daughter, Mary Ann (Roger) Clement, Russellville; sisters, Barbara (Milton) Amos, Russellville, and June (Bobby) Amos, Leighton; brothers, Herman Lane, Russellville, and Clifton Lane, Russellville; sisters-in-law, Doris Lane, Russellville, and Gladys Lane Johnson, Russellville; grandchildren, James (Ashley) Davis, Brett (Dawn) Butler, Christopher Butler, Sarah (Jonathan) Motes, Katie Allen, Abby Allen, Cassidy Taylor, Cayla Taylor, and Gant Dill; great-grandchildren, Isabella Davis, Brooklyn Stockley, Callen Butler, Matthew Butler, Michael Butler, Hunter Motes, Shooter Motes, Georgia Motes, Mason Jackson, and Easton Allen; special cousins, Nora Jean and Rabbit Culver, Millbrook; lifelong friend, Eulene Bradford; and several special nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be James Davis, Christopher Butler, Jonathan Motes, Jody Keil, Roger Clement and Ronnie Allen. Honorary bearer will be Gant Dill.

She was preceded in death by husband, James Clinton Moland; parents, Arthur and Katie Lane; infant daughter, Debra Moland; brothers, Hoyt, William (son), and Howard Ray Lane; sister, Mildred Wells; and sisters-in-law, Ann Lane and Helen Lane.
