Louise Davis, 79, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 6, 1943 to the late Charles William Byrd and the late Ida Ruth Ford Byrd. She was raised by her mother and step-father Robert L. Ford. She was seamstress most of her life working for Lee Sports Wear and later for Lanier Clothing in Tupelo. She enjoyed watching her hummingbirds. She also enjoyed watching her shows on TV. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was especially fond of her cat, Princess. She enjoyed her springtime flowers. Louise was famous for her cathead biscuits and gravy.
Services will be 11:00 am on Friday December 30, 2022 at Senter Funeral Directors with Bro. Eddie Harlow officiating. Visitation 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday December 29, 2022, at Senter Funeral Directors. Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include her children: Patricia (Richard) Dyson of Marietta, Shelia (Mike) Wilson of Marietta, Rebecca “Becky” (Van) Carter of Okolona, Bobby “Pokey” D. Davis of Marietta, Eugene (Dawn) Davis of Marietta; 12 Grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; sisters: Shirley (Butch) Dolbow, Mamie Lou (Alvis) Gates, Sue Goodson; brothers: Bobby (Ann) Ford, Charles Byrd.
Preceded in death by her parents and step-father; husband of 51 years, Bobby Alonzo Davis
Pallbearers are Bobby “Pokey” Davis, Eugene Davis, Marty Davis, Van Carter, Richard Dyson, Patrick Streetman
Honorary Pallbearers will be R.C. Dyson, Ashjon McKnatt, Craig Stuckey
