Louise Bennett Duskin, 72, of Toney, passed away peacefully on Saturday at home.
Louise was known for her love for children and had owned and operated her home daycare business where she nurtured and cared for numerous children for more than 35 years. She was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church for many years. Her family was important to her and she especially loved her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Leo Duskin; Her daughter, Angel Lee Duskin; Her parents: Oliver Wilson Bennett and Lottie Chell Simmons Bennett; Her brothers: Thurman Ray Bennett, John Wayne Bennett, Billy Roy Bennett; Her sisters: Annie Rosetta Bennett Cloud, Gracie Mae Bennett Lang, and Emma Jean Bennett Byrd;
Surviving family members include her sons and daughters-in-law, Victor & Danelle Duskins and Daniel & Cristina Duskin; Her grandchildren: Tyler E. Duskin, Kailee R. Duskin, Zoe A. Duskin, Barrett A. Duskin, and Bennett A. Duskin; Her brothers, Frankie Bennett and Oliver Wilson Bennett; Her sisters, Carolyn Bennett and Kaye Pearson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:30am to 1pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home with Rev. Tim Britton officiating. Burial will then be in New Sharon Cemetery.
