  Louise Ambrose Profile PhotoLouise Ambrose, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee. Born on March 15, 1938, in Summertown, Tennessee, she was the cherished daughter of the late WR Curtis and Evelyn Bailey Curtis.

A devout Christian, Louise’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was a dedicated prayer warrior, always seeking to spread peace and happiness to those around her. Known for her compassionate and caring nature, she often told her family, “I love you more than you love me,” a testament to her boundless love.

Louise devoted over 30 years to Summertown Elementary, where she served as a secretary and unofficially took on the roles of nurse and caregiver. Her dedication to the school and its students was immeasurable. She also had a passion for sports, whether supporting her family or cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers.

Louise is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings: Ann (William) Pitts, Sis (Ben) Rubert, Bob (Rebecca) Curtis, Dave (Ruby Nell) Curtis, and Larry Curtis; her sister-in-law, Sandy Curtis; and her brothers-in-law, Steve Lovell, Vernon Giles, and Terry West.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 62 years, Bobby Ambrose; her children: Sherry (David) Chapman, Kevin (Sandy) Ambrose, and Kasey (Lisa) Ambrose; her grandchildren: Jordan Tucker, Molly Tucker, Emily (Chad) Blasingim, Curt (Ashley) Ambrose, Konnor Ambrose, Jase (Macey) Ambrose, and Katherine Ambrose; and her great-grandchildren: Evelyn Pearl, Noah, Lincoln, and Grant Blasingim. She is also survived by her sisters: Mary Lovell, Lois Giles, Jean (Bobby) Giles, and Kathy West; her brother, Jack Curtis; sister in law, Debbie Curtis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tabernacle Church in Summertown, Tennessee. A service to celebrate Louise’s life will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Tabernacle Church with Ricky Pitts, Bill Webb, and BJ McKinney officiating. Louise will be laid to rest at Summertown Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Tucker, Curt Ambrose, Konnor Ambrose, Jase Ambrose, Chad Blasingim, Michael Curtis, Timmy Darnell, and Terry Darnell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Curtis, Bobby Giles, Lincoln, Grant, and Noah Blasingim.

Louise Ambrose’s legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.
