Louise Allbritten Knop Profile Photo Louise Allbritten Knop, of Baileyton, Alabama, passed away on January 9, 2024, at the age of 92. Ms. Knop was born in Cullman County, Alabama, on February 28, 1931, to Marcus and Pearl Poplin Allbritten.

Ms. Knop was a member of Welcome Baptist Church where she enjoyed gathering with her family and friends to worship her Savior. Louise was a worker and was always landscaping her yard or working in her garden. She was known to paint the house, inside or out, frequently. Those who knew Louise knew she was a pistol ball, and that made Louise the person you wanted on your team. She was a spunky lady who would fight for those she loved. She adored her family and had a close relationship with her granddaughter, TL, and spent many hours caring for TL as a child. Ms. Knop loved her great-grandchildren as well. Louise’s spunk and determination, as well as her love and loyalty, will be remembered by many. While we are saddened by the passing of Louise, we rejoice in knowing that she is in the presence of her Heavenly Father.

Ms. Knop is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jr. R. Knop; two brothers and a sister.

Those surviving Louise include her daughter, Sandra Edge (Tommy); grandchildren, T.L. Earl (Chris), Steven Edge; great-grandchildren, Josie Earl, Brooklyn Earl, Luke Edge, Anna Edge, A.J. Edge; long time friends and neighbors, Dean Stringer and Tim Randolph; and her grandpets, Piper, the cat, and Ellie Mae, the dog.

Funeral services for Ms. Knop will be held at Welcome Baptist Church on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 2 p.m., with Bro. Terry Blankenship officiating. A time of visitation will be held at the church two hours prior to services, beginning at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Welcome Cemetery.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is honored to serve the Knop family.
