Louis Russell Amirault, passed away on November 19, 2023, in Jackson, TN. Born on July 18, 1952, in Middleton, Nova Scotia, Canada, to the late Louis Germaine and Patricia Anne Amirault. He was a remarkable individual whose presence brought joy and positivity to all those around him.
Louis was known for his warmheartedness, gentle spirit, and his distinct deep voice that was unique to him alone. His kind, booming voice and energy would always fill the room. His radiant smile was a constant source of happiness, and his unwavering ability to find the good in every situation inspired those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Louis lived by the philosophy of spreading kindness and contagious laughter wherever he went and never uttered a negative word about anyone. His lighthearted, giving nature and cheerful demeanor were truly infectious.
Throughout his life, Louis found solace and joy in various hobbies. An avid gardener with a green thumb, he delighted in nurturing vibrant blooms and lush foliage. Whether it was tending to fragrant roses or harvesting homegrown vegetables from his backyard garden, Louis found tranquility in the beauty of nature. His talents extended beyond the garden as well – he had an innate ability for whipping up delectable dishes in the kitchen. Louis was always known for being a master on the grill and had a true gift using his smoker. Cooking was more than just a skill for Louis; it was an art form that he used to create flavors that would linger on the taste buds and warm the hearts of all who savored his creations. Woodworking was another passion that occupied Louis’s spare moments. With skillful craftsmanship and attention to detail, he transformed blocks of wood into cherished heirlooms that will forever hold memories of his talent and love.
While Louis achieved many notable accomplishments throughout his career as a manufacturing manager with Bridgestone Firestone and Teknor Apex, nothing brought him greater pride than his family. Although his family was spread over the United States and Canada, distance never stopped him from making his love known to all. His devotion to his loved ones knew no bounds, and they were undeniably his proudest accomplishment. The depth of love he shared with them was immeasurable; he cherished every moment spent together, creating lifelong memories filled with laughter and affection.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sharla Amirault; daughters, Amanda Amirault and Scotia Salcedo (Juan); stepchildren, Robin Kennedy, Craig Collins, and Casey Collins (Sujayla); brothers, William Amirault (Darlene), Brian Amirault (Sandra), and Michael Amirault (Debbie); sister-in-law, Elaine Amirault; grandchildren, Adam Kennedy (Dena), Cole Collins, Chelsea Int’Iuxay (John), Joshua Collins, Jacob Collins, Mary Collins, Damon Salcedo, and Selena Salcedo; great-grandchildren, Lennon, Annabelle, Andi Claire, and Miles; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leo Amirault.
Louis Russell Amirault will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, joy, and unconditional love that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, let us celebrate the life he lived, remembering the light he brought into our lives and carrying his spirit of compassion and positivity into the world.
