Mr. Louis Luna West, age 82, husband of Patsy Jean Isabell West, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2023, at North View Church of Christ with Jeremy Butt officiating. Military honors will be provided by Hubert Griffin American Legion Post 19. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home and prior to the funeral service from 12:00 PM until 1:00PM at North View Church of Christ.
Born in Maury County on September 7, 1941, Louis was the son of the late Ulna Louis “Jack” West and the late Mary Vernie Luna West. His academic journey began at Columbia Central High School. Louis served with honor in the U.S. Navy for four years aboard the USS Francis Marion. He then embarked on a successful business journey as the proprietor of Rabon Green Furniture in Mt. Pleasant and the owner-operator of Louis West Manufacturing. Louis had a passion for farming, managing two farms where he raised cattle on Double Branch Road in Columbia, jointly owned with his devoted wife, Patsy.
Louis is survived by his beloved wife, Patsy; his son, Reagon Louis West of Columbia; and his daughter, Mary Amanda West (Tony) Roddy of Mt. Pleasant, and first cousin, Alvin (Malinda) Luna.
Serving as pallbearers are Dean Dial, Ronnie Meridith, Mark Jones, and Tyler Luna. Honorary pallbearers will be members of North View Church of Christ.
