Louis “Buddy” Ricketts

Mr. Louis “Buddy” Ricketts, 73, of Eva, Alabama, formerly of the Moore’s Mill community, passed away on Wednesday.  He was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Marine Corp and was a long-time dairy farmer.

He was preceded in death by his son, Louis “PeeWee” Ricketts Jr;  His daughter-in-law, Rhonda Ricketts;  HIs parents, W.T. & Laura Ricketts;  His brothers:  William Thomas Ricketts II, Roger Ricketts, Steve Ricketts, David Ricketts, and Danny Ricketts;  His sister, Sherry Ricketts.

Surviving family members include his wife of almost 53 years, Carolyn Ricketts; His son, Mikie Ricketts and wife, Traci;  His grandchildren: Shawn (Shelby) Ricketts, Emily (David) Knox, Parker Ricketts, Andrew Ricketts, Bryan Ricketts, Cory Ricketts, Dustin Ricketts, and Easton Ricketts;  His great-grandchildren: Myiah Knox, Amelia Ricketts, Blaike Knox, and Anders Ricketts; His brother, Randy Ricketts;  His sister, Barbara Johnson.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30pm on Sunday at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 3pm at the funeral home with Bro. Steve Olney officiating.    Burial will be in Golightly Cemetery.
