Funeral service for Mrs. Loudell “Jo” Gilbert Mashburn, age 86, of Decatur, will be Monday, October 21, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Benny Sivley officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 20, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Burningtree Cemetery.
Mrs. Mashburn, who died Friday, October 18, 2013, at Huntsville Hospital, was born September 21, 1927, in Alabama, to Wallace H. Gilbert and Lela Belle Bailey Gilbert.
Mrs. Mashburn was a longtime member of Decatur Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Lesley “Boots” Mashburn, three sons, Jerry Lamar Mashburn of Geraldine, AL, Tommy Mashburn of Union Hill, Al and Danny Mashburn of St. Petersburg, FL. two daughters, Judy Hall of Springville, AL and Jan Williams of Decatur, AL., two sisters, Stella Taylor of Silver Springs, FL and Barbara Turner of Columbus, GA., twelve grandchildren and eighteen grandchildren.
