Lou Willie Helms, 87, of Rogersville, passed away, Friday, April 29, 2022 at her residence. She was retired from Redstone Arsenal and a member of Anderson Church of Christ.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 3rd from 12 – 1 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home with service following in the chapel with David Cox officiating. Burial will be Evans Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Helms, Jeremy Helms, David Smith, Blade Lynn, Alvie Lynn, Ivan Gonzalez-Dollar and honorary, Chad Adams.
Mrs. Helms was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Louise Thomas; husband, James Helms, Sr.; son, Steve Helms; grandsons, Nicholas Randall Adams, David Clark, III and brothers, Horace and Jimmy Thomas. She is survived by her children, James (Fay) Helms, Jr., Rose (David) Clark, Kathy (Mark) Smith, Melissa (Tim) Thornton; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Flossie Norris, Martha Waddell, Janie (RF) McCluskey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
