Loretta Ann Clymer Goodloe, wife of John Goodloe, and resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Friday July 1, 2022, at her residence.
Born on March 3, 1946, in Nashville, Tennessee, Loretta was the daughter of the late Howard Clymer and the late Susie Cherry Clymer. She married John Goodloe on May 29,1993. Loretta worked as an educator for twenty-five years. She taught in Maury County and Williamson County Systems. She was a teacher primarily at Culleoka Unit School, but she also taught at Whitthorne Middle School, and was an assistant principal at Spring Hill High School. She retired in 2006 to help take care of her first grandchild. Loretta was a Christian woman who enjoyed serving her Lord by teaching young children in Kids Town, attending Women’s Bible study, going on Mission trips, and other works of service at First Family Baptist Church where she was a member. She also enjoyed singing in the Choir, who were all exceptionally kind to her.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Vikki Hasty O’ Brien, her grandchildren Cash O’Brien, Cillian O’Brien, and Clover O’Brien, her stepdaughter Robin (Michael) Pilkinton, step grandson William Pilkinton, step granddaughter Grace Pilkinton, stepdaughter Tina Johnson, step granddaughter Rachel (Jeremy) Natalino, and Robert Johnson and her great friend she called sister, Pat Starr.
Along with her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Ann Hasty.
