Lorene Lee Evans, age 69, passed away Aug. 26, 2015. Her husband, Herman Hartsell Evans Sr., age 72, passed away Aug. 27, 2015. The family will receive friends today from 6-9 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral service for Mr. and Mrs. Evans will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Bubba Cole officiating. Burial will be at Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery.
The Evans’ were members of Revival Tabernacle of Sheffield.
They were preceded in death by their son, John Evans, and his wife, Becky.
Survivors include their children, David Evans Sr., Tinker Evans and wife, Cindy, and Duane Evans and wife, Shelia; ten grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Lorene is also survived by her brother, Glenn Sharpe, and Herman is survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Evans Jr., Caleb Evans, Austin Evans, Chandler Evans, Victor Daniel and Barney Despigno. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Despigno and Ricky Anderson.
