Lorene, born a farmgirl in Lutts, Tennessee, always desired to be a homemaker, wife, and mother; a role that she happily fulfilled most of her adult life. Lorene was a Christian who loved her Heavenly Father, regularly attended church services, and took solace in her faith.  As a teen and a member of the “Greatest Generation”, she supported the war effort as a welder in a shipyard in Mobile, AL prompting her daughter to refer to her as a real “Rosie the Riveter”.  She was a member of Faith Church. In her later years, Lorene was a resident of Brentwood Assisted Living where she became a resident favorite with her infectious laughter, love of music, and dancing.
