Loma A. Whitehead, 90, passed away on December 25, 2023 at Cottage of the Shoals in Tuscumbia, Alabama.
She is originally from Niles, Michigan where she was born on September 9, 1933 to Otis and Minnie Marks Conrad. Loma worked as a nurse and loved her job.
Loma is survived by her daughter, Deborah Best (Kim); sons, Alvin Whitehead and Paul Whitehead (Carma); daughter in law, Beverly (Whitehead) Brule.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Whitehead; parents, Ottis and Minnie Conrad; sons, Christopher Whitehead, Michael Whitehead; sisters, Leona Wadsworth, Lavon Pinkston, Constance Conrad, Nina Ojan, Catherine Conrad, Eileen Wood; brothers, Leon Conrad, Ottis Conrad Jr., Paul Conrad; grandchildren Elizabeth and Olivia, Vatina, Lena, Alvina, Tia, Joshua, Brent, Derrick (Alishah), Shelli, Joshua – Paul; and several great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Burial will at the Mission Hills Memorial Garden in Niles, Michigan.
