Lois Petersen Lawson, age 90, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016 in Decatur, Alabama. Mrs. Lawson was born on Nov. 23, 1925 in Minnesota. She and her husband, Ralph Lawson raised their family in Knoxville, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lawson; her parents, Andrew and Blanche Petersen; three brothers and two sisters, and one granddaughter, Wendy Lawson Barnette.
She is survived by sons, Steve Lawson (Marty), of Decatur, Alabama, Andy Lawson, of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; daughter, Judy Lawson Monroe (Mark), of Vicksburg, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Jenny Karel (Nathan), and Susan Orman (Charles), of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Curt Lawson (Brooke), of Madison, Alabama; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in Elk Valley, Tennessee at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
