Lois Patterson Tucker – Obituary

Lois Patterson Tucker, 88, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Monday, July 30, 2012, at the Tishomingo Community Living Center. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 1, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2, at the Iuka United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Jon Kaufman and Bro. Malcolm Garrett. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service time. Pallbearers include Jackie Bryant, Stevie “Boo” Glidewell, Jeremiah Melson, Tommy Dean, Richard Clark, and Ken Cooley. Survivors include one daughter, Carleta Tucker Phillips and husband, Richard, of Iuka, MS; one grandchild, Jeremy McDuffy and wife, Nacole, of Iuka, MS; two step-grandchildren, Keith Phillips and wife, Paige, of Muscle Shoals, AL, and Austin Phillips of Birmingham, AL; two great-grandchildren, Jevan McDuffy and Jonah McDuffy, both of Iuka, MS; a special niece, Becky Glidewell of Burnsville, MS; a special cousin, Marie Lynch of Iuka, MS; and four special friends, Burnette Bryant, June Devore, Vada Kay, and Christine Johnson, all of Iuka, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Tucker; her parents, Elbert and Pearl Patterson; and a brother, A. E. Patterson.
