Lois Carlin (LC) Brewer, Iron City, Tennessee was born October 23, 1937 in Wayne Co., Tennessee, the son of the late Charlie Washington and Mamie Todd Brewer. He married Peggy Ann Daniel, December 21, 1957. Mr. Brewer retired from Ford Motor Company where he was known by all his coworkers as “Elvis” and after retirement became a full time cattle farmer. He was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Iron City, Tennessee and departed this life, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his home at the age of 81 Years, 28 Days.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Ann Daniel Brewer, Iron City, Tennessee; sons, Dennis Brewer, wife, Lillie Ruth and Darryl Brewer, all of Cypress Inn, Tennessee; daughter, Lisa Brewer Steele, husband, Jay, Kingstree, South Carolina; grandchildren, Brittney Wright Hood, husband, Daniel, Briley Steele, Brianna Brewer, Norbie Brewer, and Merida Brewer; great-grandchildren, Tucker and Finley Hood; brother, Norris Brewer; and sisters, Nell Martin, Eva Kelly, and Judy Daniel, all of Iron City, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by daughter, Angela Brewer Wright; grandson, Byron Wright; sister, Jewell Ezell; and brothers, Dexter, Fay and McArthur Brewer.
Services will be Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Stephen Stults and Larry Laws officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee, Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Brewer, Darryl Brewer, Briley Steele, Norbie Brewer, Norris Brewer, and Carl Fred Daniel. Honoray pallbearers will be Bryon Wright, Jay Steele and Daniel Hood.
Visitation will be today, November 23, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home and Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
