Lois Bernice SahrmannAfter a long and courageous battle with cancer, beloved wife and mother, Lois Bernice Sahrmann passed away peacefully with her husband and son at her side.

Lois was preceded in death by father John Kish, mother Roberta Price, grandparents William and Lois Price, Aunt Juanita Barr, and Uncle William Price Jr. She is survived by her husband Glenn and son Patrick.

Lois was born in San Jose, California, and graduated from Cathedral High School in San Francisco. She obtained a degree from San Francisco State University in Social Work, majoring in the care of the elderly. Lois worked in elder care in the San Francisco Bay area before marriage and moving to St. Louis.

Lois was an active member and Secretary of the Moms Club of Webster Groves/Kirkwood. After moving to Madison, Alabama, Lois served as an election worker for Precinct 90 in Madison.

Lois was sustained by her love of family and faith in God.  She was a devoted parishioner of St. John the Baptist and Most Merciful Jesus churches.

Lois was cherished by her extended family, as a sister-in-law, aunt, and great aunt, and by her many friends.  Her countless acts of kindness brought joy to those who knew her.

Visitation at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home in Madison, Alabama will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, October 21. Funeral Mass will be held at St John the Baptist Church in Madison, Alabama at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 22.  Visitation at St John the Baptist Church will occur from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 22. The burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Affton, Missouri.

Donations may be made to the Cancer Research Center, the Downtown Rescue Mission, or A New Leash on Life in lieu of flowers.
