Lloyd F. Murrah, 71, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Friday, May 17, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Mr. Murrah was a member of the Iuka Baptist Church. He was formerly employed at the Iuka Guaranty Bank, and was later the owner and operator of Murrah Building Supply and The Prop Shop. Mr. Murrah enjoyed antique cars, traveling, and hiking. He also enjoyed helping others. Visitation is scheduled for 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 18, at the Iuka Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 19, at the Iuka Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Gary Watkins. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Ellet Allen, Don Herrington, Dewitt Bean, Hoyt Peden, George Womble, Art Gaines, and Frankie Murphy. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Iuka Baptist Church Men’s II Sunday School Class. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Edna Hardwick Murrah of Iuka, MS; one daughter, Melisa Little (Wes) of Hueytown, AL; one son, Casey Murrah (Joy) of Corinth, MS; three sisters, Libby Hamm (Norman) of Tuscumbia, AL, Nellie Counce (Charlie) of Corinth, MS, and Marcia Murrah of Lynn Haven, FL; and four grandchildren, Braxton Little, Brennen Little, Ashton Murrah, and John Ellis Murrah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Marcelle Cox Murrah and LaVelle Murrah; and a brother, Alvis Murrah. Memorial contributions may be made to the Iuka Baptist Church Murrah Music Fund or the Iuka Baptist Church Building Fund.
