Lloyd Blankenship, Jr.ÿŸŸÁÿ™¾ÿ&™%þnvLloyd Blankenship, Jr. was born in Morris Chapel, Tennessee on August 2, 1916, the son of the late Lloyd, Sr. and Timie Ann Brooks Blankenship.

On July 19, 1937, he was united in marriage to Earlie Loveda Turnbow, who preceded him in death on May 3, 2001. Mr. Blankenship was a farmer by trade, and enjoyed gardening and reading his Bible. He was a member of the Crump First Baptist Church.

Mr. Blankenship departed this life on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the age of 97 years, 11 months, and 22 days.

He is survived by his children, Lloyd Edward Blankenship and wife, Wanda of Sardis, Tennessee, Billy Wayne Blankenship and wife, Jackie of Kennett, Missouri, Jimmy Harold Blankenship and wife, Phyllis of Kennett, Missouri, Katherine Ann Bullington and husband, Kenneth of Stantonville, Tennessee, Mary E. (Nell) Phillips and husband, Denny of Sardis, Tennessee, Phillip Ray Blankenship and wife, Kathy of Michie, Tennessee, Mattie Sue Scott and husband, Charles of Eatonton, Georgia, Nancy Carol Poe and husband, David of Paragould, Arkansas, Linda D. Robertson of Eatonton, Georgia formerly of Adamsville, Tennessee, Shelia K. West and husband, Randall of Selmer, Tennessee; 21 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Faye Blankenship; great granddaughter, Hillary Moore; a great -great grandchild; brothers, Harry, Cornelis, Bill, and Tom Blankenship; sisters, Louis Wimberly, Abby Austin, Mattie Hughes, and Birdie Sue Blankenship.
