Lisa Kay Posey, age 64, passed peacefully on May 25, 2023 due to a battle she fought so bravely to cancer. She was born April 3, 1959 in Birmingham, Alabama to Jack and Melba Lindsey.
She married the love of her life, Frank Posey, on January 20, 1978. They enjoyed many trips to the beach and the mountains over the years. She cherished each and every trip. She enjoyed picking up something new with each place she visited whether it be a piece of pottery, new salt and pepper shakers, black and white drawings, or carvings. Each one represented something special to her.
Lisa was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as “Pie” to her grandchildren. She had a spunky personality and a great sense of humor. She loved to laugh. She also shared her love with food such as homemade cakes for birthdays, real southern fried chicken fingers, and fresh vegetables from the garden. She had a green thumb and enjoyed working for hours outside in the garden and flowerbeds.
She is the loving wife of Frankie Posey; devoted mother of Stephanie Koswoski (Joe Koswoski) and Ryan Posey (Tonya Posey); Adored “Pie” of Finley Koswoski, Tucker Koswoski, Ellis Posey, and Wade Posey; cherished daughter of the late Jack Lindsey and Melba Lindsey; dear sister of Randy Lindsey (Kim Lindsey) and Carole Lindsey; great niece to Rodger Walling; sister-in-law to Gina Posey; “picky Aunt Lisa” to Tiffanie Lindsey Doyle, Brandon Lindsey, Lindsey Deshazo, Jackson Deshazo, Alex Veasey, and Nick Veasey. She was also friends to many.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Lisa’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the National Children’s Advocacy.
