Lisa Joy Morgan was born on August 27th, 1969 in Newport News, Virginia. She was the daughter of Robert Barksdale and Patricia Bowen, both of Tennessee. Lisa left her earthly home on June 12th, 2024 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Erik Blake Thornton. She is survived by her daughter, Leila Mashburn Keel (John), her two brothers, Robert Morgan (Lisa) and Jerry Morgan (Trisha), her two grandchildren, Austin Thornton and Charlotte Keel, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends that loved her like family.
Lisa was a loving and generous Mother and Grandmother. She was kind and funny, and had a headstrong spirit that lives on in her surviving family. She leaves behind a family that will miss her until they see her in Heaven again.
The family has chosen to celebrate Lisa’s life privately together and asks that in lieu of flowers or gifts, donations be made in Lisa’s name to Sanctuary Hospice for the incredible and priceless care they showed Lisa during her last days.
