A Service of Love and Remembrance for Lisa Ann Jones Burton, 51, of Decatur will be noon, Thursday, at St. John M.B. Church in Somerville with the Reverend Mitchell Cowley officiating and inhumation to follow in Somerville Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5 to 6 p.m. at Reynolds Funeral Home. Public viewing will be today from 2 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lisa was born in Chicago, IL on December 27, 1963, to the late Earnest Jones and Christine Jones. She departed this life on May 21, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
Lisa leaves to cherish her memory a loving mother, Christine Jones; a loving and caring husband, Alfonzo Burton; a good and loving son, Jeremy Jones; a sweet and loving daughter, Jermia Jones; three loving step children, D’Shuna (Johnny) Bellman, La’Trevious (Trey) Burton and Robert Facen, Earnestine (Mack) Clopton, of Alabama. Earnest Jones Jr., Kim Fisher, Rodney Jones, all of Akron, Ohio; three grandchildren, Destiny Jones, Jeremy Jones Jr. and Tommy Lee Jones; three special friends, Mary Spangler Phillips, Monica Ricks, and Trisha Porter, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Flower attendants will be family and friends. Pallbearers will be Rodney Jones, Earnest Jones Jr., DeAngelo Jones, William Jones and Jacies Vaughn.
