Funeral for Linnie Sue Mitchell, 90, of Moulton will be today, August 2, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Arnold Bracken officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mitchell, who died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at her residence, was born September 3, 1922, in Lawrence County to Willie Louis Posey and Nancy Norton Posey. She was a homemaker and a member of Owen Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Barry Keith Hopkins; two brothers, Frank Posey and Rubert Posey; and two sisters, Elizabeth Arthur and Ruby Fuller.

Survivors include her husband, Price Edward Mitchell; two sons, Wayne Mitchell (Peggy) and Wendell Mitchell (Lisa), both of Moulton; two daughters, Pat Hopkins (Donnie) of Mount Hope and Martha Britnell (Joe) of Decatur; one sister, Mildred Lawrimore of Moulton; seven grandchildren, Brad Hopkins (Misti), Jeremy Mitchell (Merenda), both of Moulton, Allan Britnell (Leslie) of Hartselle, Wesley Mitchell (Hillary) of Town Creek, Selena Nelson (Tommy) of Moulton, Mandy Kennamer (Jason) of North Carolina and Emily Elkins (Chase) of Mount Hope; 13 great-grandchildren, Sunny, Beau and Reiny Hopkins, Jaxson and Bradyn Mitchell, Chole and Aubrey Elkins, Chaney Grace and Garrett Britnell, Kaylee Nelson, Jayden, Jessie and Jase Mitchell; and one great-great-grandchild, Brodie Cade Gillespie.

Pallbearers will be Brad Hopkins, Jeremy Mitchell, Allan Britnell, Wesley Mitchell, Beau Hopkins, Chase Elkins, Tommy Nelson and Jason Kennamer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Owen Chapel Baptist Church or Hospice of the Valley
