Linda Tomlinson Potts passed away December 20th following a long battle with cancer. She peacefully took her last breaths at home with family and hospice attending to her. She is survived by her sister Diane Tomlinson of Muscle Shoals, son Tommy Fowlkes (Tina) of Florence, daughter Renee Schramm (Chris) of St. Simons Island, Georgia, and grandchildren Kelby Fowlkes, Bennett Schramm, Harrison Schramm, and Baylor Schramm. She is also survived by brother-in-law Gordon Green and family, and lifelong friend Doris Denton.  She is preceded in death by her husband Johnny Potts, parents B.N. (Tommy) and Pauline Tomlinson, and her sister Beth Green.

Linda was born in Louisville, Kentucky and grew up in Florence. She was a member of the Coffee High School class of 1961, and a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church. As a young woman she followed her dreams and moved to Florida to be near the beach and to work for Walt Disney World. She returned to the Shoals in the 1980s.

Linda served as a bank teller for much of her career. Her hobbies included needlepoint, reading biographies, and spending time with friends and family.  She loved her grandchildren, animals, the beach — especially the Florida Keys, and all things Mickey Mouse.

A graveside service will be held at Greenview Memorial Park Saturday December 23, 2023, at 1 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colbert County Animal Shelter.
