Linda Sue Kennedy Lyons, 77, departed this life on Friday, August 11, 2023 from the North MS Medical Center Hospice Unit in Tupelo. She was born on July 6, 1946 in Booneville, MS to the late Earnest Kennedy and Lucile Goff Kenndey. Linda was a very hard working single mother and worked as a chef for the Quailwalk Country Club for many years. She loved animals and going to Disney Land, which she made 17 trips to throughout her lifetime. Most of all she loved her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Carl Flemming of Corinth, Ginger George and husband Mark of Saltillo, Lisa Luttrell and husband James of Saltillo; grandchildren, Katelynn George, Allison Perry, Leslie George; great-grandchildren, Riley Grace Perry, Asher Gray Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Lucile Kennedy; brother, Charles Kennedy; son, Robert Paul Lyons; niece, Memory Kennedy.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 2PM on Monday, August 14, 2023 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time on Monday only. Private burial will follow in Old Birmingham Ridge Cemetery. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
Pallbearers will be members of the Lee County Chapter of Hades Hounds.
