Linda Ruth Waits, age 76, a resident of Pulaski, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center. Born on December 29, 1947, in Pulaski, Tennessee, Linda was the daughter of the late Lola Pearl Myers.
Linda devoted over 40 years of her career to medical transcription, a profession that allowed her to travel and work in various locations as she accompanied her husband throughout his military service. This journey took them across several states and even as far as Japan.
Linda found great joy in watching murder mystery shows, reading novels, and traveling. Known for her warmth and wit, she cherished her coffee and delighted in “casino fun time” and family gatherings. She will be lovingly remembered for the laughter and happiness she brought to everyone around her.
Linda is survived by her two beloved daughters, Barbie Ann Doyle of Kansas City, Missouri, and Rebecca Sue (Joe) Benson of Florida; her sisters, Mary Damron of Pulaski and Johnnie Keever of Colorado; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lola Pearl Myers; her husband, Jimmie Waits; her brother, David Woodard; and her grandson, John Wyeth Doyle.
