Linda Owens Miller, 82, of Decatur passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born October 10, 1941 in Anniston, Alabama to Oscar and Mary Owens.
Funeral services will be on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM at South Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Wesley Stover, Joel Owens and Matt Nail officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the funeral. Interment will be at Napps Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller was survived by her husband of 54 years, Melvin Miller; one daughter, Karen Tubbs (John); one son, Andy Miller; and one brother, Wayne Owens (Vicki).
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Miller was a member of South Chapel Hill Baptist Church where she taught Youth Ministry for years, and she loved to study her Bible. She also taught a Precept Ministry Class for 30+ years; and loved working in her flower garden.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Bowling, Steve Kaiser, Danny Compton, Jeff McCulloch, Adam Simmons, and Brad Owens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to South Chapel Hill Baptist Church.
