Linda McCord Davis, 74, of Cherokee County, Alabama passed away on Tuesday September 24, 2024.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Lewis Dale Davis, and her parents Harvey and Lucille McCord; also her siblings, John Harvey McCord Jr., Edna Conaway, Earl McCord, and Jerry McCord.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Kim (Shane) Williamon and Mandy (Kyle) Chavers, her siblings, Bobby McCord, Eloise Dempsey, Sarah Wright, and Carol DeNault; and her grandchildren, Reid Williamon, Charlie Williamon, Kate Williamon, Luke Chavers, Emma Chavers, and William Chavers and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was a lifelong resident of Cherokee County and a graduate of Cherokee County High School. She was a devoted wife to her husband Dale for 55 years. She was a loving mother who spent her life caring for her family. She was a trusted confidant who was always there when needed, offering support, wisdom, prayers, and love with abundance. There was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her grandchildren.
Linda’s family will be receiving friends Saturday, September 28 from 1-3 p.m. at New Nazareth Baptist Church, 6650 County Road 16, Centre AL.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to New Nazareth Baptist Church.
