Miss Linda Mae West, age 82, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Highlands Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Linda was born May 21, 1941 and liver her entire life in Scottsboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Williams and Lillian Ruth west; three sisters, Ann West, Addie Ruth Smart (Emmit Sr.), Shirley West Holt (Harrison); three brothers, Leon west (Forrestine), Doyle West, and John West; One nephew, Ray Smart.
She is survived by one niece, Melissa Cookston (Jimmie), three nephews, Rodney West, Emmit Smart, Jr. and Trey Smart; three great nieces, Kerry McWilliams (Josh), Brandi Sauceda (Rick), and Chelsea Key (Rod); four great nephews, Eric Cookston (Linda), Dubresse Cookston, Jamie Cookston, and Cody Cookston (Mikayla); 6 great-great nieces; 5 great-great nephews; 1 great-great-great niece, and 1 great-great-great nephew.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Miller officiating. The family will receive friends on prior to the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Sanders Cemetery.
