Linda Mae Attkisson Foster Mrs. Linda Mae “Grandma” Slaughter Attkisson Foster, 76, long-time resident of Culleoka, died Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Attkisson will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Cliff Stanfill officiating. Immediately following the service the family will have a Celebration of Life at her son Torey’s home.  The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 3:00–7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born August 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Mitchell Slaughter and the late Mae Wiley Slaughter. She was married to the late George Merritt Foster.

Mrs. Foster loved flowers and cooking for her children, grandchildren and anyone else that was hungry. She enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with her family. She was an entrepreneur that started several businesses that are still carried on by her family members including Caring Hearts Home Healthcare and South Central Probation Services.

Survivors include her children, Dana (Bobby) Dean, Sandie (David) Smith, Torey (Cammey) Kelley, Amanda (Kevin) Ingram and Jason Kelley; grandchildren, Kelly (Dallas) Dobson, Dwain (Acacia) Dean, Justin (Heather) Whitaker, Leah (Ben) Brawner, Nathan Whitaker, Jacob (Paige) Kelley, Dakota Kelley, Dylan Kelley (Faith Browning), Bailey Ingram and Madison Ingram; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ann (Jake) Davis, Betty Stanfill and Brenda (Billy Ray) Yancey; seven nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wayne Attkisson and granddaughter, Taylor Mae Ingram.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Davis, Brandon Davis, Russ Stanfill, Jeremy Ledford and Mitchell Yancey.
