Linda Lou RagsdaleLinda Lou Hight Ragsdale, age 64, wife of Billy W. Ragsdale, and a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Baker Cemetery in Primm Springs.  A visitation will also be held on Monday from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Born on August 22, 1959, in Maury County, Linda was the daughter of the late J. W. Hight and the late Edna Counts Hight.  Linda dedicated many years of her life to working in the hospitality industry, serving at various hotels before retiring.  Outside of work, Linda had a passion for crafting and found joy in creating beautiful handmade items. She was an avid fan of George Jones.  Linda’s generous spirit was evident and she was always ready to lend a hand to those in need.  She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

 

In addition to her husband, Billy W. Ragsdale, she is survived by her sons, Joshua Hight, Donnie Brown, Ronnie Brown, and Brian Brown, all of Columbia; brothers, Howard (Becky) Hight of Columbia and Ray Compton of Indiana; sister, Diane Andrews of Columbia; and sister-in-law, Kaye Ragsdale of Lewisburg.

 

Pallbearers will be Ricky Hoover, David Ragsdale, Stephanie Holt, Darrell Andrews, and Brian Crabtree.
