Linda Lou Guthrie, 81, of Paris, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Saturday night, February 12, 2022.

Linda was born to Claude Jackson Guthrie and Edna NeSmith Guthrie. She was a graduate of Walker County High School in Jasper, Alabama and attended business school to earn her education in Insurance. Linda worked with CNA and All State for many years and was a member of Valwood Baptist Church while she and her husband, DC Armstrong, lived in Dallas. Linda loved to Square Dance, travel the world, and garden. She learned to play the Lowery Majesty rolltop organ and was an active member of Prime Time in Paris Texas. Most of all, Linda loved her family!

Linda was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, DC Armstrong; her brothers, Amos Guthrie, Joe Guthrie, and Jack Guthrie.

She is survived by her stepson, Dan Armstrong and his wife, Missi; her brother, Bob Guthrie, and his wife Carolyn; her sisters-in-laws, Sylvia Guthrie, and Mary Lou Guthrie; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and so many friends and family members whom she loved.

Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 12 until 2 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 2 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Guthrie Cemetery.
