Linda Lee Powers Rolin  Linda Lee Powers Rolin went to be with Jesus on August 10th, 2024.
Linda lived in Ardmore her entire life and was a member of Wooley Springs Baptist Church. She received a Master’s Degree in mathematics and taught school for 37 years. Linda was devoted to serving others through her work and church. Over the years, she taught Sunday School, AWANA, Vacation Bible School, Children’s Camp, and Children’s and Youth Choirs. Linda ended her life serving others by sharing the gift of life through organ donation. She loved music, singing in church choir, and playing the bass with her bluegrass band. She loved to hike, read, travel, and spend time with her family.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Jone Celeste Simmons Powers.
Linda is survived by her husband of 35 years, Gregory Wayne Rolin and two daughters, Rachel Lee (Jarrod) Mullins and Savannah Jo (Keith) Smith. She is also survived by her father, Glen RC Powers and wife Nell Powers, sisters, Patti (Kenneth) Plunkett and Jennifer (Terry) Rolin, nephews and nieces, Daniel (Whitney) Plunkett, Rebekah (Vince) Beyer, Mary (Jared) Byrd, Jacob Rolin, Tre Rolin, Hunter Rolin, and Jevan Rolin, great nephews and nieces, Jack Byrd, Ava Plunkett, Eli Beyer, Teddy Byrd, Lottie Beyer, Logan Plunkett and Frankie Byrd. Linda is also survived by her father-in-law, Jerry Rolin, and brothers-in-law, Bo (Tiffany) Rolin, and Melvin Rolin.
There will be a time of visitation at Ardmore First Baptist Church on Friday, August 16th at 1 pm and Celebration to follow at 3 pm led by Bro. Tony Boyles. The family graveside service will follow at Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Ardmore, Alabama.
Charities important to Linda are the Liz Hurley Ribbon Run, Acoustic Neuroma Association, CCI, and Legacy of Hope.
