Mrs. Linda Kaye Barkley Morgan was born November 17, 1948 in Florence, AL the daughter of Allen and Frances Earlene Whitten Barkley. She was united in marriage to Gordon Morgan on October 17, 1969. Mrs. Morgan departed this life on February 28, 2019 at her home in Iron City, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 3 Months, 11 Days.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years Gordon Morgan of Iron City, TN; two daughters, Beth Horton of Iron City, TN, Holly Baskins of Iron City, TN; three grandchildren, Aidan Russ Baskins of Iron City, TN, Luke Horton of Iron City , TN, Ivy Horton of Iron City , TN; a brother-in-law, Larry Miller of Collinwood, TN; a sister, Mary Ann Smith of Waynesboro, TN; and many loving friends and family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents Allen Barkley and Frances Earlene Whitten Barkley, a sister, Kathryn Miller; a brother-in-law, Henry Smith Jr.; two sons-in-law, Darrell Horton, Daniel Baskins; Maternal Grandparents, Walter and Rosie Rich Whitten, Paternal Grandparents John Rich and Mary Patterson Barkley; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law L.A. and Maudie Wallace Morgan.
Services will be held on March 2, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Collinwood in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Dusty Malugen, Allen Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Iron City, Tennessee
