Linda K. Worthey, 60, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Born on September 30, 1963 in Amory, she was a daughter to Burnis Cecil and Alice Inez Cox Worthey. She graduated high school in Nettleton in 1981 and worked for Amory Garment and Lucky Star in Nettleton for many years. Most recently, she was self-employed cleaning houses. Linda traveled extensively whether by bus or going on cruises. She enjoyed camping and hiking and was able to hike a portion of the Appalachian Trail. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Bobby Cleveland officiating. Burial will be in the Wren Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Brittany Tubbs (Daniel) of Nettleton; son, Nathan Kelly of Nettleton; 4 brothers, Jessie Worthey (Donna), Lavon Worthey (Alice), Mural Worthey (Norma), and Clinton Worthey (Debbie); sister, Syble Earnest of Okolona; 7 grandchildren, Blake Kelly, Xena Kelly, Xavier Kelly, Aubrey Tubbs, Donivan Tubbs, Dani-Kate Kelly, and Kaylyn Kelly; a special cousin, Melinda Walls; and a host of niece, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Doyle Worthey.
Pallbearers will be Lowell Worthey, Allen Worthey, Brian Worthey, Jonathan Worthey, Andrew Earnest, and Jeff Hood. Honorary pallbearers will be Carter Worthey, Bobby Griggs, Sam Walls, and Charlie Walls.
Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
