Linda Joyce Odom Profile Photo Linda Joyce Odom, 79, became fully healed and met her savior face to face on Saturday, July 29th, 2023 in Amory, MS. Born on May 12, 1944 in Smithville, Mississippi, she was the youngest daughter of Clister Elizabeth and Jerome Knight.

Linda grew up in Smithville, graduating from Smithville High School. In her adult years, she enjoyed working with children at Head Start, selling Tupperware and working in the bakery at Walmart.

She married the love of her life, Eulis James Odom on May 15th, 1962 in Amory, Mississippi. They were blessed with four children, six grandchildren and two great-grandbabies. She adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandbabies. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother and an amazing friend. She was kind, compassionate and sassy. There are no words for how beloved she was to all who knew her and she will be deeply, deeply missed. She is leaving behind endless memories, funny stories and immeasurable guidance. Linda loved to cook, read and travel with her husband and spend time with her Red Hat Society friends.  She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

She leaves behind her husband James, three of her children Darnell (Scott) Reeves, Tawanna Odom and Brandon (Jeny) Odom; six grandbabies Shayne (Stanci) Reeves-Long, Jessey Odom, Chris (Mandy) Reeves, Torrey Brown, Lilly Odom and Emma Odom; two great-grands Toby Adams and Taylin Brown, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Jamie, her sister Elaine, her brother Roger and her best friend Sue.

Funeral Services will be held at 7 PM on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Tim McMillan officiating.  Visitation will be held Monday evening prior to the service from 5-6:45 PM.
