Linda Joyce Gooch Skipworth, 70, of Florence, passed away January 11, 2018. She was a member of Rhodesville Freewill Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday, January 15, 2018 from 11-1 p.m. at Rhodesville Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with Troy Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Rhodesville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Skipworth was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Macil Gooch; and brothers, Larry, Randall, Donnie, and Timmy.
She is survived by her husband, David Skipworth, Sr.; son, David Skipworth, Jr.; daughters, Tammy Shotts, Tina Dye, Tabatha Culver, and Angela Jones; brother, Jerry Gooch; sisters, Janet Risner, Kathy Smith, Sharon White, Marcie Liles, and Marsha Dawson; grandchildren, Stan, Seth, and Sawyer Shotts, Jessica, Anthony, and Carissa Dye, Rebecca, Brandon, and Robyn Culver, and Caden Jones; and great-grandchildren, Tristan Dye, and Colt Shotts.
Active pallbearers will be: Stan Shotts, Sawyer Shotts, Brandon Culver, Josh Gooch, Caden Jones, Ryan Clemmons, Ethan Burch, and Michael Jones.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Seth Shotts, and Anthony Dye.
In lieu of flowers, Linda requests that donations be made to your local church, charity, or a missionary program. Missions were near and dear to her heart.
