Linda Joyce Buckner

Linda Joyce Buckner, 72, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at her home. She was born on January 16, 1953, in Sulligent, AL to John Thomas and Christine Johnson Hollis. She married William Buckner, Sr. and prior to her retirement, she worked in several industries including the restaurant business, driving a truck, working on appliances, and even a little mechanic work. She knew a little about a lot of things; but most importantly she enjoyed doing for her family and captured those precious moments in pictures.

A family memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.

In addition to her husband of 56 years, William Buckner, she is survived by one son, William Buckner, Jr. (Patricia), Nettleton; one daughter, Glenda Parish (Wayne), Iuka; two brothers, Thomas Hollis, Jr. (Sharon), Enterprise, AL and Donald Hollis (Barbara), Sulligent; sister, Brenda Homan (Ricky), Detroit, AL; 5 grandchildren, Trey Buckner, Joyce Young (Brandon), Britney Gray, Cameron Gordon, and Haley Buckner (Tyler); and two great grandchildren, Will and Aiden Buckner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Elex John Hollis and Willie Don Hollis.
