Linda Jean Tucker, 80, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Itawamba County, MS to Oda and Norma Pounders Keeton. She was a member of Walker Baptist Church where she had a servant’s heart helping in any way she could. She worked at Golden manufacturing for several years and then became a caregiver to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 3, 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Ray Bennett, Bro. Clay Weaver and Cory Pruitt officiating. Visitation will be Monday, September 2, 5-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ridge cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by one son, Ronald Tucker (Tammy); grandchildren, Britni Waddle (Matthew) and Cory Pruitt (Madonna); great-grandchildren, Reed Fowler, Libbi Fowler, Lizzi Fowler, Ayden Pruitt, Cohen Pruitt and Cullen Pruitt; sisters, Marilyn Gasaway and June Keeton and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Eugene Tucker; son, Charles Edwin Tucker; granddaughter, Andrea Hope Tucker; great-granddaughter, Lizabeth Joy Coats and sisters, Jewel Cromeans and Bonnie Ewing.
Pallbearers will be Tony Gasaway, Benjie Ewing, Grayling Cromeans, Shaun Nichols, Shane Nichols, Junior Hutcheson, Matthew Brown and Timothy Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Reed Fowler, Ayden Pruitt, Cohen Pruitt and Cullen Pruitt
