Linda Jane Tidwell Misenhimer left this life Tuesday July 30, 2024. She was able to spend her last days with family and friends at home. She was a native of Westpoint, TN. She loved her community. She attended Westpoint Methodist Church all her life. Linda was a life-long learner and wanted her students to love learning. She taught as many as three grade levels at Westpoint in one classroom. When her beloved school consolidated, she finished her teaching career at South Lawrence. She worked tirelessly to make the learning process fun. She and her husband Steve took children to the fair who had never been. Linda worked in the community club and tried to show the county how wonderful Westpoint is in the County Fair Exhibits. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Jane (Moore) Tidwell. She is survived by her beloved husband, Steve Misenhimer; Five siblings survive her: Hoyt Tidwell & wife Suzy of Westpoint, Barbara Faye Miller & (Richard) of Nashville, Ray Tidwell & wife Pat of Westpoint, Travis Tidwell & wife Jan of Westpoint, Susan Ray & husband Ronnie of Columbia; Extended family are Matt & Jamie Beckman, Lane & Ally Beckman, and Mattie Ray Beckman of Westpoint. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 11:00 am 1:00 pm at Loretto Memorial Chapel with her service at 1:00 pm in the chapel. Internment is to follow at Blair Cemetery. Lucas Hunt is officiating. The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of your choice. Loretto Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
