Linda Haynie Hays Cook, 74, of Holly Pond, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Linda was born January 2, 1948, in Cullman County, Alabama, to Clell and Arnest Couch Haynie. Linda was a member of Duck River Baptist Church. She also owned and operated Linda’s Family Hair Care, in Holly Pond, for twenty-five years. Even after retiring, Linda always had her hands in someone’s hair. Linda was a people person, and she was very talented in her field of work. This made her not only an amazing hairdresser, but also a dear friend to many people. She had a big heart, and she was always quick to offer help and support to those around her. Linda shared her knowledge with other girls in the industry, and she taught those girls to become talented hairdressers. Linda was loved by many people, and she will be missed greatly.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents and her late husband, Royce Hays.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Cook; her sister, Anita and Mark Holaway; and a host of family and friends she loved dearly.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, January 24, 2022, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, from 11:30 a.m., until 1:30 p.m. A graveside service will follow at New Hope #2 Cemetery at 2 p.m., with Caleb Elrod and Brandon Hendricks officiating. Nicholas Cook, Jackson Cook, Brandon Hendricks, Carter Hays, Scotty Estes, and Keith Albright have the honor of serving as pallbearers for Linda.

Linda loved flowers and would most certainly have enjoy a bouquet. In the event you would prefer making a donation in memory of Linda though, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hays Cook family.
