Linda Gail Owens Gordon, 79, resident of Summertown, died Thursday, September 19, 2024 at her residence.
A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Oakley cemetery with Wendell Ragsdale officiating.
Linda was born on July 21, 1945 in Columbia, Tennessee to the late Thomas Howard Freeman Owens and the late Mildred Adell Potts. On May 16, 1960 she married Thomas Murphy “Sonny” Gordon. Linda attended Arkland Church of Christ for many years. She loved her family and having them all together so she could cook for them, but most of all she loved God.
Survivors include her daughters: Angela Gail Gordon of Decatur, AL, Trena Kay Bailey of Columbia; sons: Donnie Lee Gordon of Santa Fe, Ronnie Dee Gordon of Santa Fe; grandchildren: Brandon Michael Bailey of Murfreesboro, Morgan (Dewayne “Bubba”) Eastep of Summertown, Justin (Jenny) Gordon of Pulaski, Taylor Gordon of Nashville, Preston Gordon of Centerville, Cameron Gordon of Columbia; great-grandchildren: Oakley Eastep of Summertown, Laila Powell of Summertown, Murphy Eastep of Summertown, Miller Eastep of Summertown, Axel Gordon of Pulaski; and brother Dean (Sara) Owens of Columbia.
In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Murphy “Sonny” Gordon.
Pallbearers will be Justin Gordon, Brandon Bailey, Cameron Gordon, Preston Gordon, Oakley Eastep, Bubba Eastep, and Will Hudson, and Forrest Eagle.
