Funeral services for Linda Faye Warren-Mann, 71, will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 19th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery. Reverend Paul Campbell will be officiating. Visitation for the public will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, August 18th at Hanceville Funeral Home.
Linda passed away peacefully holding her son’s hand on Tuesday August 15th. Born in Birmingham, Alabama and a resident of Hanceville, Alabama all her life.
Linda had deep roots in the Hanceville community with her father starting Warren Supply and Feed (later becoming Mann’s Garden Shop) and paving the way for residential neighborhoods in Hanceville. Even naming a street “Linda Warren Circle” after his little girl at the time.
Linda taught sixth grade English at Hanceville Elementary School for 25 years. She enjoyed her years of teaching but when her precious boys arrived she threw in the towel. She was completely devoted to her boys and a generous giver. She enjoyed shelling peas, Law & Order and traveling in her younger days. She will be dearly missed by her sons.
She is survived by her sons Charlie and Steven Mann. Her brother-in-law Larry (Thresea) Mann, Sister-in-law Celia Ward (Ken Crowe) and one niece Hilary O’Brien and husband Brendan.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mann.
