Linda Faye Nance – Obituary

LindaFuneral for Linda Faye Nance, 68, formerly of Lawrence County, will be today, October 1, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bill Becker and Brother O.D. Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Nance died Sunday, September 29, 2013, at El Reposo Nursing Home in Florence. She was born January 6, 1945, in Lawrence County to the late Douglas Warren and Annie Bell Terry Warren. She was a member of Dickson Tennessee Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mrs. Nance was a graduate of Calhoun Community College AA Nursing 1971 and the University of Alabama, Huntsville, 1985 BSRN. She worked in Critical/Surgical Intensive Care throughout her career with the last 15 years spent as a travel nurse. She loved to travel, read, sing, Elvis, gardening and flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Nance; two sons, Michael Mote and Timothy Mote; and one grandson, Montana Mote.

Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Mote and Renee of Kentucky and Tracey Mote and Sonja of Dickson, Tenn.; one daughter, Sheila Holley and John of Moulton; one sister, Barbara Gillespie of Crane Hill; four grandsons, John Holley II and Sarah of Fultondale, Wesley Holley and Stephanie of Birmingham, Kevin Mote of Louisville, Ky., and Dakota Mote of Dickson, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Sara Mote of Louisville, Ky., and Savannah Mote of Dickson, Tenn.; and one great-grandson, JohnWesley Holley.

Pallbearers will be John Holley, Bradley Mote, Walter Moutelle, and grandsons and nephews.
