Linda Faye Adams King age 75 of Athens, passed away Thursday evening October 22, 2020. Linda was a resident at South Hampton Nursing Home where she ran the halls and ruled the roost.
Linda was born on July 9, 1945 in Limestone County. She was a proud graduate from West Limestone High School, class of 1963.
Linda retired from Steelcase, a job that she loved very much. She was a cancer survivor and was very active in the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life. She frequently attended Camp Blue Bird, where once she and her friend Wanda, dressed as Power Rangers.
She loved riding motorcycles and dancing. She was an amazing cook. She loved to fish. She was a wonderful mother and the cool aunt. She loved the Adams family with all her heart. She was a hoot!
Linda is preceded in death by her father, Prentis Adams; her mother, Ludie Romine Adams; her brother, Doyce Adams and his wife Barbara; her brother in law, Horace Gus Hargrove; her grandson, Allen Bowman; and her best friend, Wanda McAllister.
She is survived by her daughters, Laurie King; Amelia Hanly (Chris Hanly); and LaNita King Hiland and their father, Charles Wayne King;  her grandchildren, Trent Miller, Jetti Miller, Jay Adams, and Caleb Motten; her sisters, Brenda Adams and Peggy Hargrove; her brothers, Danny Adams (Kathy Adams), Jerry Adams (Barbara Lamb), and Phillip Adams; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and even a few great-great nieces and nephews; and the staff of South Hampton Nursing and Rehab.
