Linda Ellen Evitts Mayfield McCord, age 71, of Nashville, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 12pm Tuesday, March 5th in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Pastor James Jett officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery on Dividing Ridge Road.
The family will receive friends from4-7pm Monday, and again from 10am until time of the service at 12pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. McCord was born July 3, 1952 in Springfield, to the late Lester and Myra Smiley Evitts. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCord was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Michelle Beazley; sister, Sue Evitts; and grandparents, Samuel Collins Smiley and Martha Evaline Robertson Smiley.
She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Daryl McCord; and a sister, Margaret Evitts Mays.
