Mrs. Linda Darlene Collins Hyde, age 70, of Guntersville passed away on April 9, 2024, at Marshall Medical Center South. She is survived by her lawful husband, Mack Stewart; sons, Charles Allen Hyde (Brittany), Roy Wayne Hyde (Marie) and Wesley Keith Hyde; grandchildren, Devin Hyde, Kaleigh Hyde, Athena Saucedo, Catilina Saucedo and Hope Saucedo; great-grandchildren, Nolan Hyde, Zadlynn Johnson and Colten Hyde; brothers, Gary Sims (Doris), Ronnie Taylor (Melissa) and Oscar Taylor; sisters, Shirley Lybrant and Regina Mozley (Becky); special friends, Carolyn Murray, Laureen Moore, Jan, Rosie Stewart, Lisa Boozer (Hey Hey Hey), Candace Garrison, Susan Crane, Peggy Childress and Anita; special niece, Kim Sandusky.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Collins; sisters, Jeanette Allen, Pattie Gallman, Gleamer Landers.
Linda confessed to Christ our Lord at an early age. She was baptized by her grandfather, Rev. W.O. Wilson, who founded the church, Pilgrams Rest in Albertville, Alabama. Linda’s grandfather preached on Sundays on WGSV radio station where Linda and her two sister, Shirley and Jeannete sang songs like “On the Wings of a Dove” and many more.
Linda met Mack Stewart in April of 1994. For 30 years, her mission in life was to help others. She was a caretaker by nature. In 2009, she went back to school to acquire a certificate from a program sponsored by Alabama and Auburn through RSVP to be certified to help others and enjoyed sitting with the elderly.
She loved her three boys and Mack Stewart…..Linda loved everyone. She enjoyed being called grandma by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending church.
